Scrapbooking update

Pam and I managed to fit in a day of scrapbooking on Sunday.

Pam did a great layout on on a photo she had taken a of her and Bob on one of their manhy cruises.

My layout is of Tony and me at Evendale in Tasmania. This was a pretty little town. Not far from there we went to a sauce factory. Great sauces and jams.

Preparations are on the way for the nest Scrapbooking Retreat the first weekend in June. If you are interested in coming please let me know soon.

We have also booked on the next scrapbooking cruise in January. I have a link to the info for anyone else interested in going.

Cropping Weekend

Tony and I had two great weeks in Tasmania. Lots of photo opportunities. Tasmaina is a great place to tour around. I did not know much about it until we went. I now have a greater understanding of it and enjoyed it very much. There was a lot of diversity, history and
wonderful food. The Makehams team and fellow passenger were great to be with. If you have not been to Tassie try and go. It is worth the effort.

On Saturday we had a scrapping day which flowed over to Sunday. I managed to get some layouts done for myself. There was a newby to Scrapbooking. Sarah managed to complete two layouts. a great effort considering she had not done it before.

Scrappin' and Quilting Weekend

Russellee had a busy weekend with two groups of ladies enjoying their chosen crafts. We had a group of eight ladies from Canberra (thanks to Sandy Thompson) working on their own projects in the Blue Wren.
We also had a group of regular ladies working in the living room of the main house. Glenys Hugget from Jinderbyne joined this group for the first time. Thank you Glenys for coming. The group had a challenge layout for the weekend. We asked the visiting quilting ladies to pick a layout of the weekend. Kaye's double page layout of her grandaughter was our winner.

All in all we had a great weekend. I even managed to get a couple of layouts done. I was pleased with the one I did of Pam and Kaye on the cruise.

Thanks also to Kim Kendal of Heirloom Scraps for bringing a small shop of the ladies to indulge in.

The New Year

The New Year has come. We had a sad start to it with the death of my mother. However, the year s young and we must go forward.

I have my grandson staying and I took him to the South Coast for a couple of days. I enjoyed the grandmother thing and took him to the Mogo Zoo and the Birdpark at Batesman Bay. We had a wonderful couple of days. I took some great photos to scrap.

Planning is on the way for the February Scrapping Retreat. I have an optional workshop planned that I hope will appeal to all. Finding the papers and embellishments took a bit of doing but I now have them all.
